[Hospitality] stretches our hard hearts and stretches the limits of our mind. If we don’t find a way to connect to the ‘other’, and make the ‘other’ part of our life, what happens is our worlds become smaller and smaller and we will implode on ourselves. The other is life-saving for us and I know of no possible other way that this can happen except that we consider the vastly frightening possibility that there are people out there who are unlike us but yet bear to us the image of the divine which we so desperately need.
