I love forget-me-nots. I think they might be my favourite flower. I love their name, their colour, their size. I have a few preserved between the pages of a book that I took from the garden of the house I grew up in. Generally, then, I love forget-me-nots. These I picked this morning at the church community garden, along with some (more) rhubarb, some chives and some sage to dry, my self-determined (as I was the only one there) payment for cutting back lavender and sage and weeding the lettuce. I was reminded this morning as I felt a little out of sorts that I have to have colour and creativity in every single one of my days, in some way or other, in order to breathe properly and feel like myself. This was today's way.
