Pulling the puppy plug

So of all the things I do justify on the basis of my milestone birthday this year, getting a puppy won't be one of them. In the end, my sensible voice won out, reminding me it would be a step too far out of my financial comfort zone (if you can call it that). Plus I wasn't entirely convinced enough of the effort:reward ratio, at least not convinced enough. The advantage of having these two reasons is that I don't have to tackle my borderline terror of unconditional love. So that's a silver lining.
I think today is a sushi day.
