Today my assigned task was to help with garlic braiding, as it has been for the last couple of years, and I enjoy it but I also got to wander around and see familiar faces I don't see often enough, steal a pumpkin (didn't have any change) and enjoy the crisp fall sunshine.
And we were also shelling dried beans. How gorgeous are these? They look like Orca beans but purple. Spot the errant pinto bean...
And now it's roasted veg and homemade pesto for dinner, with a cup of tea.

Sounds like a great weekend, Emma.
I love it when I read northern hermispherean posts when it's spring/fall. Something sweet about the thought of the earth balanced out, both hemispheres in sweet light before it grows bright up one end and dims down at the other :)
Those beans look so beautiful.
