Trees for the wood

I added to this painting I started before and I like it better now. The top and bottom stripes hold it together and I think it looks stormy and fierce. Because I painted the lines I see them as the foreground and the the white as the background but a friend looked at it and said she sees white trees, like birches. I hadn't seen it that way and it completely changed how I see it. We need other people and their perspectives to add to our own. A life lesson indeed.
