Be entire

I discovered the quote above while reading an essay on the Holy Spirit. It gives me vertigo, somehow, grasping at an ungraspable thing. Living in the present is far from static.

I discovered the poem below flicking through Eternal Echoes by John O'Donohue. Some translations use 'whole' but I like the more unusual 'entire'. It reminds me that practically speaking my studies might not be adding to my employability but practicality never made for an interesting life. Memory and anticipation, trust and hope, learning to be entire, to reflect light. This is the currency, these are my career goals. 

To be great, be entire;
Of what is yours nothing 

exaggerate or exclude

Be whole in each thing. Put all that you are
Into the least you do.
